Eskilstuna Improves Clinic Workflow and Patient Experience with XECAN Smart Clinic and CRAD cAutoVerify

Boston, MA On Jan 16, 2023, the Eskilstuna Malarsjukhuset radiation clinic went live with their XECAN integration, including XECAN smart clinic and CRAD cAutoVerify. The combined deployments enable the clinic to improve clinic workflow, along with patient safety and experience from reception and treatment rooms.

XECAN facial recognition automatically checks patients in as soon as they enter the clinic. Patients receive a personalized greeting at the kiosk and their arrival integrates into on-site MOSAIQ software. The patient then moves to the waiting room, which contains a XECAN’s patient ID whiteboard. The board’s live updates provide patients with their expected wait and treatment time, therefore alleviating potential stress. Once patients relocate to the treatment area, the software removes patients’ IDs from the board, all without manual staff intervention.

The treatment rooms contain CRAD cAutoVerify in front of the radiation vault. The facial recognition in the dome camera minimizes medical errors by ensuring that the right patients enter the right locations. Their personal treatment chart is verified simultaneously.

“The hospital staff's favorite part of the XECAN health system is the facial recognition. It is very useful and user-friendly. The system significantly improves our workflow and patient safety. The XECAN staff was also immensely helpful throughout” commented Goran Dahl, Lead Technician, Eskilstuna Malarsjukhuset, Sweden

“Eskilstuna clinic is a very innovative clinic. Its staff are devoted to improve patient care. It was an honor to work with them. We also like to thank our technology partner CRAD. It works very closely with us in the successfully implementation” according to Bin Yang. CEO of XECAN
